Often seen filling the sub keeper role during his time at Boro’, Graham Benstead joined from Farnborough Town after Graham Westley became boss. The stopper later became goalkeeping coach; warming the bench in both capacities. But fate never conspired in his favour when it came to playing time. Benstead made no appearances for us, though he stayed with us – even after Lionel Perez had taken on the coaching role.
