On Tuesday, Middlesbrough secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Huddersfield Town to move to within one point of Championship leaders Burnley. Aitor Karanka’s men controlled proceedings from start to finish to claim their third win in a row and it would take a brave man to back against Boro’ as the title race continues to swing back in their favour.

Karanka’s side have had their problems throughout the campaign but Boro’ are finally beginning to turn on the style when it matters the most.

The likes of Stewart Downing and Jordan Rhodes, who have both had their disagreements with Karanka this season, are flourishing in Boro’s attack and the Riverside Stadium faithful are beginning to get excited at the prospect of returning to the Premier League.

However, with so many twists and turns, it’s becoming almost impossible to calculate winnings due to the fluctuation in odds. Punters may want to use a bet calculator, such as the one at Bookies.com, to figure out exactly how much they may win if Boro go on to win the Championship title – it’s certainly the easiest way to calculate potential winnings.

Next up for Boro’ is a home clash with Preston North End. Earlier in the season, it looked as though Preston may be embroiled in a relegation battle but they’ve managed to dig themselves out of a precarious situation and are now in mid-table obscurity. However, that doesn’t mean they will be easy prey for Middlesbrough’s much-improved side and Karanka’s men will have to be fully focused if they are to emerge victorious.

Middlesbrough will travel to Sean Dyche’s Burnley on April 19th in what could end up being a must-win game for both sides. The Clarets have climbed to the summit of the Championship table but cannot afford any slip-ups with the likes of Boro’, Hull City and Brighton and Hove Albion chasing them down.

And when it comes to strength of squads, both Middlesbrough and Steve Bruce’s Hull are unrivalled – they both boast more talent than anybody else. If nothing else, Boro’ have given themselves a real shot at automatic promotion after a few slip-ups in February.

Karanka and his players appear to have moved on from their prior disagreements and Middlesbrough now sit in pole position to go on and pip Burnley to the title. It’s certainly an exciting time to be a Boro’ fan and while there may be a few hairy moments along the way, Karanka’s men are in with a great chance of going all the way back to the Premier League in style.
